Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 5, 2026 · applies to shredgov.com (the shred intake service)
Who we are
ShredGov ("we", "us") turns procurement solicitations into cited compliance matrices. Questions about this policy: security@shredgov.com.
What we collect
- Intake data: what you put in the form — your email address, a SAM.gov link, your deadline, optional notes, and the solicitation files you upload. This is the only personal data this site asks for, and only when you submit it.
- Usage data: standard server logs (IP address, timestamps, requests) kept for security and reliability.
- Analytics: we use Plausible, a privacy-first service that sets no cookies and collects no personal data — only aggregate, anonymized statistics. This site sets no cookies at all.
We do not use advertising trackers, and we do not sell data to anyone.
How we use it
Your contact details are used only to produce your compliance matrix and reply to you. Submitted solicitations are public procurement records; we may use them — or the public record they came from — to improve ShredGov's extraction quality.
Where it lives, and for how long
Files and data are processed and stored in United States regions on Microsoft Azure. Uploaded solicitation files are held in private storage: download links expire after 14 days and the files themselves are automatically deleted within 30 days of upload. Intake emails are retained as ordinary business correspondence. Subprocessors: Microsoft Azure (hosting and email delivery, US regions) and Plausible (cookieless analytics).
Your choices
To have your files or correspondence deleted sooner, or to ask what we hold, email security@shredgov.com from the address you submitted with.
Security
Encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, least-privilege access, and time-limited access links. Report security concerns to security@shredgov.com.
